Updated Process: Advisor for Surgery Pre-Op Appointments
When scheduling pre-op appointments, if a patient’s appointment falls within three days of surgery instead of ten days, the Hospital Account Record (HAR) will recommend the same HAR for both encounters. The HAR advisor will prompt you to use the surgery encounter date. Select the recommended HAR instead of creating a new one. This new process will help ensure the pre-op and surgery are billed together on the same HAR
