Thieves Are Watching You Enter iPhone Passcodes

“Police are receiving more and more complaints about thefts that occur after a perpetrator watches iPhone owners enter passcodes and passwords, then steals the device and uses the information to access different digital accounts,” reported the Wall Street Journal. Several victims had their iPhones stolen, while out at night socializing, and were locked out of their Apple iCloud accounts. Police found thousands of dollars had been stolen from the victim’s financial apps and bank accounts.

One way to add more security so that you can’t get locked out of your Apple iCloud account is to add a Screen Time passcode (this is different from your iPhone passcode) and requires a thief to know that passcode to make changes to your Apple’s iCloud account.
