Team Activations (STEMI, Stroke/Telestroke, ELVO) Moved from PerfectServe to Epic

All network (community) hospitals have moved their critical care team activations (STEMI, stroke/telestroke and ELVO) from PerfectServe to Epic.

What’s changed?
Team activation workflows (STEMI, Stroke/Telestroke, ELVO) — previously managed through PerfectServe — will now be initiated and delivered entirely within Epic. This includes real-time notifications via Haiku and Rover, Epic’s mobile applications.

What’s the benefit?
Epic’s native capabilities offer a more seamless, reliable and integrated solution for clinical communication and team coordination, helping to streamline operations and improve response times across key clinical scenarios.

  • Improved Workflow Integration: Notifications and assignments are embedded directly within Epic, eliminating the need to toggle between platforms.
  • Faster Response Times: Real-time alerts via Haiku and Rover enable quicker engagement with critical workflows.
  • Reduced Communication Gaps: Removing PerfectServe minimizes errors caused by fragmented communication systems and any prior manual entry of key patient information.
  • Accurate On-Call Coverage: Epic references QGenda schedules to automatically identify and activate the correct on-call provider, reducing manual lookup and errors.
