Sept. 24: User Preference List Error Correction for Radiology Exams

For All Physicians and Nurses (Inpatient and Ambulatory)

The User Preference List settings for eight radiology exams will be reset Monday evening, Sept. 24, to remove Shoulder pain, bursitis or tenosynovitis suspected, xray nondiagnostic as a reason for exam when placing an order. Previously, shortness of breath was overwritten by this erroneous indication.

After the change is made, clinicians will be prompted to update the “reason for exam” when placing one of the following orders from their user preference list.

The eight exams impacted include:

  • CT Angiogram PE Chest
  • CT Chest W Contrast
  • CT Chest W WO Contrast
  • CT Chest WO Contrast
  • US Duplex Venous Lower Extremity
  • XR Chest 1 VW
  • XR Chest 1 VW Portable
  • XR Chest 2 VW

Submit previously marked Reason for Exam entries with erroneous indications to the IT Help Desk.
