New Patient Access Navigators and Book It Activity Overhaul Registration and Scheduling Workflows
Coming with the next Epic Update on Sunday, Aug. 14, Epic will replace the current Interactive Face Sheet with new Access Navigators for registration, admission and discharge, transfer and LOA workflows. Additionally, the new Book IT activity will replace the Make Appointment and Quick Appointment activities for automatic and manual scheduling.
Access Navigator
Using a table of contents, staff will use new Access Navigators to easily jump to necessary sections within each activity. Activities include Appointment Registration, Preadmission, Update Admission, Discharge, Transfer and Leave of Absence. The sidebar Checklist is also being enhanced with more details to make it easier to edit and complete registration workflows.
