New Nursing Assignment Wizard to Start Pilot Testing
A new Nursing Assignment Wizard has been developed to help nurse managers and charge nurses better make patient assignments in Epic. The wizard will start pilot testing in select units across the system on Monday, Feb. 6, with systemwide rollout planned for later this year.
The Nursing Assignment Wizard will display patients currently admitted to the unit, to help with shift assignments for the unit staff (per LaborWorkx).
To help charge nurses determine how to best assign each patient to a nurse, the new tool can also provide the patient’s:
