For All SPG/PCG Providers, RNs and MAs
New Medication Reconciliation Workflow
Effective Wednesday, May 11
Starting Wednesday, May 11, you’ll have a new medication reconciliation workflow. Now, physicians and APPs will be notified of any medication changes during the visit, improving patient safety and medication reconciliation efficiency.
RNs/MAs will only able to flag a prescribed or clinic-administered medication for removal.
-
Once Remove and Reason are selected, the medication will show as flagged.
Physicians/APPs will review and manage the flagged medication prior to closing the visit.
-
From the Plan tab, the provider will see the Flag for Review medication and will have the option to discontinue or keep active.
-
If the provider tries to sign/close the encounter, a hard stop will remind them of any medications flagged for removal that haven’t been addressed.
