A new document imaging system is coming on Nov. 11, with the Epic v2018 Upgrade. With its ability to integrate securely with Epic, Hyland OnBase is replacing McKesson Patient Folder.
Hyland OnBase makes it easier to capture, store and manage clinical and billing documentation throughout Houston Methodist.
- For clinical imaging, it allows access to all non-EHR historical data – like EKGs, pathology results and clinical images – from within Epic. It also lets physicians annotate or insert figures into documents.
- For billing, it enables staff to view correspondence and other billing documentation while in Epic, streamlining multiple processes.
