As you may be aware, Texas passed a new law impacting inpatient Do Not Resuscitate orders. In September, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission finalized regulations determining how to put the law into effect, providing hospitals up to six months to implement the regulations.
We’ve elected to make these changes effective March 1, 2019. This will allow us adequate time to finalize hospital policies and procedures, modify workflows and provide appropriate guidance and training for all impacted staff and clinicians.
