Starting Tuesday, Sept. 6, when you sign a discharge prescription that will be sent to a mail-order pharmacy, you’ll receive a new BPA. This prompts you to change from a mail-order pharmacy to a normal retail pharmacy, if a discharge prescription is needed more urgently on discharge than a typical mail-order pharmacy can provide, preventing acute discharge prescription delays.
-
To change the pharmacy, acknowledge Will update pharmacy for prescription. If you don’t want to change the pharmacy, select Mail Order Appropriate.
-
Click the pharmacy name. This opens the Pharmacy Search window.
-
The Pharmacy Search window shows your patient’s current pharmacy options and allows you to search for and add a new pharmacy.
