Diet Order Selections Maintained on Future Orders
When Cultural/Special, Other Options or Foods to Avoid is selected on a patient’s Diet order, that selection will now be maintained on any subsequent Diet orders for this hospital visit only. This will help ensure that these preferences are included on Diet orders placed for this encounter by another provider. If these preferences are no longer applicable, the new provider must deselect the option.
Note: The Cultural/Special option is no longer in the Common Diet section. It’s now in its own section on the order.
