HM-Provided Mobile Device Updates

If you have an HM-provided mobile device or need to order one for a new employee, please note these important updates. IT has recently negotiated our contract with Verizon to a less expensive plan with more features, including unlimited data, a hotspot, calling to Canada and Mexico and access to the 5G network for faster speed. If you have an HM-provided phone, Verizon is in the process of moving your service to the new plan. No action is required on your part.

The iPhone 16 128GB is the Standard Offering
Effective immediately, all new employees and employees eligible for an upgraded device will receive the iPhone 16 128GB, including a charger and a case, and this will be a standard offering paid for by IT. If you need more storage or a different device, you must submit an exception request (see below), receive your VP’s approval and it will be billed to your department. Upgrades are not being honored at this time. IT will reach out to you when we’re ready to provide you with an updated device. Note: Monthly service fees will be charged to your department.

Submit all Mobile Requests on the IT Support Website
All mobile requests must be submitted directly on the IT Support website (you can also find us on The HUB) by clicking Request Something > Mobility. (Note: we are deactivating our current portal that shows upgrades and costs.) The following requests are available:

New Employee Order – Mobile – The standard offering paid for by IT is an iPhone 16, 128GB. This requires VP approval.
Exception – Mobile – If your job requires a different device, you can order an exception with VP approval. The cost of the device will be billed to your department.
Terminate Service – Mobile – Leaders: you must terminate service for an employee when they leave. Please don’t give a phone to another employee. It creates security risks and we have no way to track who has the device. If you need to keep the phone number in your department, let us know. Please return old phones to the AskI.T. support station at each hospital or send them to:

Lost/Stolen/Broken – Mobile – Report these immediately. Replacements will be billed to your department.
International Dialing – Mobile – This requires VP approval and should be for business purposes only.
International Travel Plan – Mobile – Dialing from Mexico and Canada is included in our new plan. All other requests require VP approval and should be for business purposes only. Please make this request before you travel.
