On Tuesday, May 7, Epic experienced an unplanned downtime that lasted approximately ten minutes. At that point, Epic automatically switched to a backup server and connectivity was restored.
Houston Methodist IT teams are working closely with IBM and Epic Corp. to determine the cause of the interruption and correct the underlying problem. Until that time, we may encounter other brief Epic outages. Like last week’s unplanned downtime, Epic will automatically switch to our backup servers so you can resume working in the system.
