On Thursday, Dec. 16, the Clinical References patient education tool will be removed from Epic for inpatient nurses, including L&D, nursery, NICU, respiratory, PT/OT/SLP and dieticians. FHIR Education will continue as the primary source for patient education materials assigned in patients’ MyChart accounts, along with the AVS and discharge summary
FHIR Education integrates with Epic and provides an expansive library of over 8,000 editable, customizable and searchable items, including videos and printed materials in English, Spanish and up to 20 additional foreign languages.
