On Sept. 17, Houston Methodist will launch Phase II of the Elavon payment processing initiative which replaces existing credit card devices with the latest chip/PIN technology.
The HMSL and HMSTJ EDs and Sienna Emergency Care Center go live at 7 p.m. on Sept. 17. All other HMSL/HMSTJ hospital areas and various SPG/PCG departments go live on Sept. 18.
Note: Deployment of electronic check scanning devices will take place at a later date.
