As more COVID-19 cases are confirmed across our city, our top priority is to proactively seek ways to keep our patients and caregivers safe — telemedicine is one of those solutions.
Providers systemwide are now taking advantage of virtual care options – allowing patients to remain safely at home yet still receive the care they need. Using MyChart Video Visits, HM Virtual Urgent Care and other telehealth tools, providers and patients are now able to complete visits – similar to a normal in-office face-to-face visit – but virtually.
Since early March, virtual visits have increased dramatically, as patients and providers continue adhering to the Stay Home – Work Safe order. Houston Methodist providers have conducted:
COVID-19 E-Visits | 115 |
MyChart Video Visits | 10,107 |
MyMethodist VUC | 2, 770 |
Scheduled Telephone Consults | 67 |
