As we enter the final quarter of 2025, I want to highlight two, key upcoming events.
In November, we’re holding our first Epic Cosmos Datathon — an exciting opportunity open to all providers and clinical, quality, research and data science roles, across every HM entity. This event is designed to foster innovation, collaboration and data-driven problem solving. Whether you’re passionate about improving outcomes, exploring new insights or simply curious about the power of data, this is a chance to get involved and make an impact. To learn more and register, read the article below. I’d love to see you at this event with the Epic’s Cosmos team!
In early 2026, we’ll hold our next KLAS Arch Collaborative survey. More details will be provided later, but I want you to know that taking the time to complete this survey is invaluable in helping us understand how we can improve your workflows and the technologies you use to care for your patients. The feedback you provided for our last two surveys has led to key, systemwide initiatives to improve your Epic experience, provide you with better IT support and training and ensure your voice is heard in IT, including:

Jordan Dale, MD
Chief Medical Information Officer and Chief Health AI Officer
- A systemwide IT transformation to ensure you have convenient ways to receive the support you need — when and where you need it. We now have more IT teams rounding at each entity, bridging the gap between technology and clinical care by providing real-time, on-the-spot support to providers, clinicians and hospital staff.
- Prioritized efforts to reduce distractions or nuisance pop-ups and ensure workflows work better for you. We’ve removed over 20 million disruptive pop-up alerts per year. This amounts to over 1,100 days — time back to our physicians and APPs — due to these reduced disruptions, without compromising on high-quality care!
- Ongoing educational opportunities to help you become more efficient with using Epic, including Epic Efficiency Bootcamps, communications around Epic tips and tricks, as well as more personalized provider support through our provider support specialists. This team now supports the Physician Service Desk so when you call, you’re working with someone familiar.
- Improved access and support of Epic mobile apps. Our 2022 survey showed that Epic mobile app users had higher satisfaction with our electronic health record (EHR). Visit our Epic Mobile webpage for new ways to access Epic Mobile, which includes Android users and doesn’t require our mobile device management (MDM) — Intune — to be installed on your own device.
Thank you for your continued engagement and dedication to improving the tools and processes that support our unparalleled patient care. I look forward to seeing you at our Epic Cosmos Datathon and reviewing the results from our next KLAS survey — to continue our mission to be unparalleled in everything we do.
