Changes to Epic for PCA Medications and RASS Documentation
Several changes have been made to Epic for the documentation of specific sedation and continuous patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) medications and the Richmond Agitation Sedation Scale (RASS). Specified medications include fentanyl, propofol, dexmedetomidine, hydromorphone, ketamine, lorazepam and midazolam.
Changes include:
- Specified medications appear in the expanded view in the MAR.
- RASS flowsheet row has been added to the I/O flowsheet.
- The Reassess RASS assessment task automatically appears on the Work List and in the Brain.
