Case Management Module Added to Epic

For All Case Management Directors, Case Managers, Social Workers, Extenders/Reps/Admins and Utilization Reviewers 

On Sunday, Feb. 16, the Epic Case Management Module will replace MIDAS Hospital Case Management. This change simplifies case management processes and addresses many needs, including:

  • Better case management workflow and efficiency.

  • More efficient communication with:

    • Physician Advisors and attendants

    • Post-Acute Care (PAC) facilities 

    • Payors

  • Built-in fax functionality that includes a PAC and payor database.

  • A more efficient Utilization Review (UR) process.

  • Streamlined appeal and denial process.

  • Aligning billing compliance with CMS guidelines.

  • Reducing / improving length of stay (LOS).

  • Setting the foundation for future digital communication. 

In-person training sessions will be held at most campuses to prepare impacted staff for this upcoming change. Managers will register staff for training in LMS. If this impacts you and you have not been registered for the following course, notify your manager:
