Amb Providers: Outpatient Medication Order Entry Stop Date No Longer Required

Outpatient medication order entry no longer requires a stop date. The stop date can lead to patient medication list inconsistencies and make it difficult for you to review your patients’ medications. Now, the number of days that discontinued or expired medications will display on a patient’s current medications list will be increased from zero to seven days. This helps prevent refill request delays, makes it easier for you to see which medications were recently stopped, improves medication management and reduces clicks.
