Houston Methodist Pathology and Genomic Medicine hospital laboratories have transitioned from B-type Natriuretic Peptide (BNP) measurement to measuring the N-terminal fragment of the prohormone, NT-proBNP. This change is necessary due to recent improvements to the chemistry testing automation platforms used at HM laboratories. Note: Epic order sets and preference lists have been updated to the new NT-PROBNP [LAB5353] test.
