From noon – 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, Alaris infusion pumps will be upgraded and experience a systemwide downtime. During the downtime:
- If an infusion is completed or discontinued during downtime, manually complete documentation on the patient’s I/O flowsheet.
- If a new infusion begins during downtime, when communication between Alaris and Epic resumes, the nurse should back associate the infusion with the patient’s order.
- If an infusion continues to run during downtime, when communication between Alaris and Epic resumes, the pump will send the infusion details to Epic and should populate for Infusion Verify tasks.
