The Houston Methodist Imaging Dashboard, built within Epic, was successfully rolled out on Tuesday, Sept.10. The dashboard provides a centralized location to view volume and turnaround time statistics for imaging and radiology services. The visual dashboard is easy to navigate and helps imaging directors and managers improve operational efficiencies and drive clinical quality improvements in radiology processes.
According to Kim Collins, director of imaging and diagnostic services at HM West, “We are already seeing an improvement in turnaround time for STAT, ED, OB, IP and MRI by having the data easily accessible within the tool.”
Ana Aleman, senior business analyst adds, “In phase two of this improvement, we encourage feedback from end-users, so we can continue to improve the quality of service we provide.”
