More than 32,000 biomedical device location tracking tags will transition from GE Biomed Tags to Intelligent Locations (IL). The new IL system provides real-time, HIPAA-compliant monitoring of our equipment and environmental conditions. The dashboard can also help determine where assets are located, if they’re available, in use or idle, and calculate utilization rates. They can also be used to track valuable medical equipment, like telemetry monitors, which are easily misplaced or lost.
Currently, more than 25,000 tags have been replaced, with all community hospitals reaching or exceeding 80% replacement. HMH is at 75% complete, with less than 700 tags to go to reach the 80% milestone.
With this change, IL Dashboards (hm.intelligentlocations.io) have replaced the previous GE Encompass and GE Find IT dashboards. Please review LMS course #1645052 for assistance navigating the new IL Dashboards.
