Wouldn’t it be nice if you could protect your passwords with another layer of security? Multifactor authentication (MFA) gives you this power. It makes it extremely hard for hackers to access your online accounts, even if they know your password.
Houston Methodist requires MFA to access our systems. MFA provides an extra security layer requiring inputting a code. You can receive this code via the Microsoft Authenticator app. This allows you to receive the code on multiple devices and can be helpful if you lose your mobile device or need to access the network from an airplane. To protect your personal accounts, be sure to use MFA for any account that offers it, including those associated with school, email, banking and social media.
