PHI Being Removed from Automated Internal Text Messages from Epic

To ensure patient privacy is maintained in all instances, personal health information (PHI), including patient names and MRNs, are being removed from automated texts and alerts sent to HM employees and providers through Epic.

IT teams are working with clinical and operational leaders to identify applicable messages and make any necessary content and workflow changes before the end of the year.
