FIT (Fitness in IT) Series

The Fitness in IT (FIT) virtual series focuses on your overall well being, including wellness, fitness, mindfulness and home organization.

  • Seated Chair Yoga Stretches: Wednesday, Aug. 24, noon – 12:30 p.m.

    This class, led by wellness coordinator, Melodie Woodard, will show you how to do seated chair yoga stretches along with guided breathing exercises. Your chair is used for support to improve your flexibility, concentration and strength while you quiet the mind and relax the body to relieve stress.

These classes are led by Erin Mursch, a certified KonMari consultant who follows the method used by author and Netflix star, Marie Kondo: 

  • Tidying Your Clothing and Accessories: Wednesday, Sept. 14, 12:30-1:30 p.m. 
    Learn the Marie Kondo method of tidying your clothing and accessories (e.g., closets, dressers, wardrobes and seasonal storage).

  • Organize Books, Media and Papers: Wednesday, Oct. 5, 12:30-1:30 p.m
    Note: This is a change from the original date of Sept. 28.
    This session focuses on organizing books, media and papers.

  • Office Komono: Wednesday, Oct. 12, 12:30-1:30 p.m.
    Learn office Komono which includes organizing office supplies, electronic devices, cables and cords. The Komono category covers organizing all miscellaneous items. You can apply the principles from this session to other areas of your home as well.

  • Organizing Sentimental Items: Wednesday, Nov. 2, 12:30-1:30 p.m.
    We’ll close out our KonMari classes with a session on handling and organizing sentimental items.
