IT Security Initiative Impacting Website/Application Owners

To help protect our HM website and data, we will apply a Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC) update from 8:30 p.m. Monday, July 11 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 13. If you’re the owner of a website or application using the houstonmethodist.org domain, take a minute to review this document. Please edit, as needed, and initial the Validation column (highlighted in yellow) by Wednesday, May 25.

We don’t anticipate any end-user impact, but you may notice some application slowness. If you have questions or concerns after the update is complete, email dnssec@houstonmethodist.org or contact the IT Service Desk.

Note: As a reminder, all website/applications using the houstonmethodist.org domain name must be added to BCIC and kept up to date. Also, when a website/application is no longer in use, be sure to mark it as decommissioned. Click here for instructions. If you don’t have access to BCIC, contact Gene Gretzer.
