You’ll now see a new Epic Storyboard alert advising you if a patient tested positive or is suspected of having COVID-19. This is to make you aware of a patient’s COVID-19 status and help you initiate and follow the proper protocols. The new COVID-19 alert may remain on the patient’s Storyboard:
- At least two days after a negative COVID-19 result.
- Ten days after a positive COVID-19 result.
- If an infection status of COVID-19 or r/o COVID-19 is on the patient.
- Note: Infection status must be resolved by the Infection Control Practitioner, if the patient is no longer suspected of COVID-19 infection.
