Our patients can take advantage of video visits to get the care they need and adhere to the Stay Home – Work Safe order.
Through MyChart, HM Virtual Urgent Care and other telemedicine tools, patients can schedule an appointment or choose to wait in a queue for more urgent care concerns (including possible COVID-19 symptoms).
Last week, more than 4,600 virtual visits took place, compared to about 400 the week before. On Wednesday, March 25 alone, there were more than 1,800 video visits.
If you experience health issues, please call your doctor’s office. If it is not urgent, you can send a MyChart message.
If you already have an appointment scheduled, your doctor’s staff may reach out to you to convert that appointment to a video visit, if appropriate, and walk you through the process.
Note: the MyMethodist app, which includes HM Virtual Urgent Care, is not for symptoms like shortness of breath, chest pain, etc. For emergency situations, please call 9-1-1. You can use HM Virtual Urgent Care for simple sick items, including COVID-19 screening.
